In recent years, the Region has taken a systematic and structured approach to the Aerospace sector, recognizing it as strategic and having high development potential, particularly in relation to the aerospace economy.
ART-ER coordinates the Strategic Forum for the promotion of the regional supply chain and has conducted an analysis of key players, activities, and the sector's economic dimension, identifying trends and future development trajectories.
This significant set of activities has demonstrated that this supply chain holds great development potential in the region, particularly linked to Commercial Space Flight, which offers vast opportunities for technology transfer between Earth and space and vice versa,
Earth Observation and satellite data management, and in general downstream services, satellites and their miniaturization, as well as the topic most closely linked to the aeronautical sector of Advanced Air Mobility.
Over the last few years, the activities implemented by the Region and ART-ER have structurally modified the regional ecosystem of the aerospace economy, which has recently been outlined, highlighting the various levels of which it is composed: Policy and regulation; coordination; Network, infrastructure; and Industry.
