The Unit manages work programs and projects related to energy transition, as well as strategies and policies for climate change mitigation and adaptation. On energy transition and climate neutrality, it supports the entire regional governance process to ensure the effectiveness of each phase and the coherence of tools across the entire value chain, including stakeholder engagement phases.
It provides support for the development of local and territorial policies and coordination with the regional level.
The Unit fosters integration between governance and the regional innovation ecosystem, which is essential as sustainability goals expand both in scope and time horizon (climate neutrality by 2050). It oversees the development of innovative energy-related value chains and technological trends.
