The Hub pursues the objectives of innovation and transformation in the agri-food supply chain with a focus on sustainability and growth. The main challenges in the sector are transversal, affecting various agri-food chains: sustainability and precision; process safety and traceability; valorization of by-products; and processes/plants for sustainable and competitive packaging.

The Hub develops these themes through engagement and collaboration with the regional innovation ecosystem, particularly with the Clust-ER Agrifood, with which it collaborates to update the main strategic research and innovation lines in the sector and to involve regional stakeholders in key initiatives, such as research projects and participation in European and international networks.
